In the report of tlie farm school at New ton Rigg it ia 6ta!ed that in ail during the four years that the farm' has been under the ■Country Councils, seventy-four colveB have been bora and bred without loss. The first year boiled linseed y/ith a little flour was used to supply fat to "to the separated milk, on which the calves were fed; the second year experiments were tried with "new milk, separated milk, and separated milk, wiih ejther boiled lincend or cod liver oil; tLe third year boiled linseed with some calves and cod liver'oil with others, with apparent ly similar results; this year cod liver oil only, at the rate of two (able-spoorifulla to the gallon of separated milk has been used ■jsit-h excellent results, the calves looking quite as w.ell as those of previous years.
