NEWS BY THE MAIL.. - From' Scotland we learn that Lord. Minto is' to have Lord Aila's Riband of the Thistle. Lord Stair is spoken of as the new Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire.; Dr Tirrot, it is rumoured, will retire from' the Bishopric of Edinburgh.' A shocking tragedy has been perpetrated in Fifeshire. . The acquittal of Prince Pierre Bonaparte upon all the criminal charges broughtagainst him in respect of killing Victor Noir, and firing at Do Fonvielle, was pronounced by the grand jury at Tours, on Sunday, March 27.. With some inconsistency, however, tile Court afterwards awarded the relations of Victor.Noir, or rather Salmon, £1,000, to be paid by the Prince, as well as the costs of the proceedings. The Prince was very enthusiae. tically received by-his friends. In deference to public opinion, the Emperor-as by Article 6 of the Senatus Consultum cf the 7th Nov, 1852,. he has full authority over all his family-ordered Prince Pierre Bonaparte to quit France for."n indefinite period.
