General of Penal Establishment*, are being proceeded with. . It was Intended that the fifteen persons should bo tried In a body, but as thry severed in their challenges of tho jury, and each prU soner exercised his right of challenging twenty, without assigning reason for so doing, this niuise was found impossible. I'he wholo fifteen were first placed in the dock and the panel called over and exhausted. On seven being removed, the name result wa* brought about by the remaining eight. Ultimately three of the prisoners, -Thomas Williams, Henry sinllh, and John Molloncy were placed on their trial and the jury s-vorn.
