The following, piece of useful in formation has been forwarded to this       town in a communication from Dr. Palmer ; who has undoubtedly shown considrable zeal of late for the interests of this part of thle Colony. We append a suggestion from Dr. Paliner       himself.         "A Mr. Curtis has ohtained a patent for an invention which so far as I am capable of judging is well adapted to the wants of your colony as a preparatory step at.the general introductien of the most costly convenience of iron roads with locomotive power. ENGLIClH IEXTRACTS. 6 M'r. Cantwell,0Roman .Catholic Bishop 1 of Meath, is in a state of mingled per- 9 plexity and indignation respecting the 10 Income-tax. It appears Fe received the II usual paper addressed to him as lie 12 '.Rev. John Cantwell."
