SOCIAL NOTES. SMITH—HURLEY WEDDING, On Tuesday last a very pretty wed- ding was celebrated at Mr George Hurley's residence, Werona, the principles being Mr George Smith, of Nagambie, and Miss I. A. Hurley, of Werona. The Ceremony was per- formed by the Rev. D. Pravan, of Daylesford. The bride, who was given away by her father, was beautifully attired in cream silk, trimmed with satin and overlace, and was further adorned with the orange blossom wreath and veil. The bridesmaid, Miss J. M. Hurley, wore cream voile, trimmed with shadow lace and inser- tion. Mr Thos. Smith, the bride groom's brother, effeciently fulfilled the position of best man. The bride groom's gift to the bride was a pearl and amethyst brooch, and to the brides- maid an oliveen brooch. The bride presented the bridegroom with a gold- mounted Albert.
