Tkyino it _agahv.—Mr. Minor, of the Village Record, has at. length consented, or rather been compelled,"b y fear of losing his subscribers, to publish Mr. Rush's Letter. lie promises to give a replv to it. This is what we wish. We hope- however,, that it may differ from his " masonic lamentation" published "a couple of years ago. M r. Miner writes well in a good cause, but he is not quite lawyer enough to argue well-on—both sidps, or conceal the weak points in the handmaid.—Ib "I would take up arms in defence of masonry, beforo any other cause," said a Royal Arch Christian, a member of one of the churches in this town. - _, If is lamentable that eo .many professing Christians love masonry more than the religion they p_^jess. A good disciple of masonry in a neighbouring village? said that "anyone who would make paper to mint the Monitor on, ought to be jerked into _fcich pieces:'* Here's masonrv with.a vengeance,:—Newark Monitor.
