Receipts of Live Stock at the Union Stock Yards during the past 24 hours-675 cattle, 38 calves, 2,210 hogs. Ship ments 575 cattle. The receipts -were composed largely of through cattle which were fed and watered here but none of them changed hands. There was about 100 head of native cattle on the market and all good grades found ready sales at prices fully 10 to 15 cents higher than Tuesday. There is no im provement in thin stuff which is very slow sale. Kansas City is getting rid of much of the stale stock they had on hand and there seems to be a better demand and higher prices on all the markets for good to fat cattle. The supply of hogs was again liberal. The market opened 5 to 1 cents lower than yesterday. The buyers didn't take hold very strong which caused the market to drag all day. The buyers tried to ham mer prices all day, but salesmen wouldn't stand too much of it. The mos...
