The locomotive had a history. It wan used on a North Georgia railroad during the war and was the chief actor in one of the most thrilling race* that was ever made on a railway track. It appears that she was boarded by some soldiers that were trying to make a point and about the time they got under way, runlmiK about fifty or sixty miles an hour, they were pursued by soldiers with an- other one of those old style engines.
