News of the District, Uminorc. : What was undoubtedly a n-trrow es cape from a -fatal accident (says tlie ' Star') happened on tho Tweed Road on Saturday morning. Mr. Black, ac companied by his wife and child, was driving into town in a sulky. They over took a bullock waggon on the road going tho same way, towards Lisinore, but the driver of the latter would not got on to tho proper side of tho road and allow Mr. Black to pass. In attempting to pass on the proper side, Mr. Black dnive over an embankment, and « chicle and occupants wero by some means capsized under the bullock waggon, the wheels of the latter, before it could be stopped, going danger ously close to tho child. Mr. Black had his clothes torn a great deal, aud was a little bruised, and Mrs. Black received a few nasty cuts and bruiseA on the head, besides a severe shaking, which the child also received.
