.Accident.   On Saturday afternoon, when riding down tge Gullen road on his bicycle with a friend, Mr. R. A.. Howland   of the Crookwell Gazette, had the mis fortune to meet witha nasty accident. From what we can learn it appears both riders were going at a fast pace when by some means Mr. Howland's front wheel struck the step which projected slightly from the bike, with   the result that it tore the spokes out of' the wheel and threw the rider with great force on the road. Mr. -How   land received a "severe shaking, to gether with some nasty, cuts and bruises, which will necessitate him befing confined to his room for a few days.
