KILMORE BOROUGH COUNCIL. Mos?xr, J.Ax. 15. Present: The Mayor, and Crs. Taylor, Thomas, Iarris, Dowling, and Dobinson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence as follows was then read and considered: 1. From J. Keeling, lamplighter, calling attention to the inalidious injuirry done to certain lamps, and suggesting the Council should offer a reward to discover the perpe trator, in which case he would "supplement the. anount offered by the Council by £5. Cr. Dobinson moved, that the Council of fcr £10 reward for the conviction of the persons, who wilfully and maliciously injured the lamps spoken of. Cr. Thomas would not support the mo tion, it was only throwing away- money in advertising. Cr. Taylor seconded the motion. Cr. Harris supported the motion, as he considered it the duty of the Council to sup press outrages of this sort, and. spare no ex pense in seeking and bringing to justice those w;ho wilfully and maliciously caused damage to public pr...

THE POPE'S ALLOCUTION. The following is the Text of the Alloen tion of His Holiness Pope Pius. IX., deli vered in Secret Consistory, Sapt. 25, 1865 : Venerable Brethren: Amongst the mani fold machinations and arts with which the enemies of Christianity have dared to attack the church of God, and, (although with un availing effort) to shake it, and to root it out --must undoubtedly be reckoned that wicked association commonly called Masonic.
