Thanks to the gentlemen of the wharf for Natchez and Vicksburg pa pers. Fred White, a colored man residing in Port Barrow, advertises an estray manre and colt which he picked up in front of the Crescent plantation. Eliza Walton was committed to jail last Saturday for disturbing the peace, and remained in confinement until Wednesday, when she furnished bail and was released. .George Washington was discharged from the parish jail yesterday morn ing, having served a term of three months for chicken stealing. He was convicted before the Parish Court in June. An exhibition by the pupils and friends of Keating's Academy, for the benefit of Mrs. Keating, will be given at the D. S. C. B.
