SCorrespondence.. Sonnets From Savage And again we lost. Rome was never built in a day--the same with a ball team. E. Rivenes and E. D. LaRue were Savage visitors during the past week. On Monday evening last a meeting was held, in the First Fational Bank building for the purpose of organizing a Savage Commercial Clnb. Mr. Southwick was appointed temporary chairman and O. B. Patterson as sec retary. A committee was then ap pointed to draw up a constitution and by laws. On motion the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the committee. H. Anderson of the Exchange Res taurant was a Glendive visitor the fore part of the week. Wm. Andrews of Glendive is ex pected in Savage within a day or two to take charge of the Exchange Hotel. Work on the new Crilley Hotel is progressing rapidly. Mr. and Mrs. Kiichli have moved into their new home. Savage was the scene of a sad acci dent on last Saturday. Crops in this vicinity are looking splendid in spite of all adverse re ports. A dispatch in the Pioneer Press of St. Paul from Glendive this week stated that crops were all to the bad and the country burned up. S orrespoFnadenae. Sonnets From Savage Mr. and Mrs. Beagle and family are now living at Savage. Mrs. 0. B. Patterson and daughter have departed for Washington, D. C. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kiichli were up to Glendive for the Fourth. What did the Savage boys do at Glendive? Ask the crowd. We may have lost a ball game or two-but we have some foot racers. The Savage Athletic Club, repre sented by Claude Young, Gerald Ryan, Ray Chute, and Frank, Anton and Louis Kolda swept the boards at the Glendive celebration. The 100-yard dash, 220 yards, 50 yards and the re lay race were all won by the Savage entries. In the 100-yard race Savage had five men entered and they finished one, two, three, four, five. T...
