A SPLENDID BUILDING. Fine New Quarters for the Railway Offices. The magnlllce'ht new buildiug for the general ofliees of the Norfolk and Wes? tern railway in this city is nearing com? pletion. It is a credit to the city and to the railway. On the fourth of Jnuuary. 1890, the old building which occupied the site where the new structure now stands whs burned to the ground. It ?was a very pretty builaing and a com? fortable one, but it was far too small for the needs of the company. Since the fire the offices of the company^have been scattered all over me city, some of them being in the Terry building some in the Day building, some in the Berkeley building and others In the building re? cently occupied by the city postoffico. To have the oillces so far apart has been most inconvenient and everyone con? nected with these will be glad to know that tho new quarters are about ready for occupancy. AH of the ofliees that can be located in Roanoke will be in the new buliding- -inclndiug those...
