Cn.weono of the travelling dniry, reflected sometime ago, in a most serious and unwarrantable manner upon the inanitgesmdnt -of our Gippsland dairies, the result being that the whole of the dairying interest of South Gippslnnd has suffered more or less with the mietropolitan market. Some time ago a niumber of gentlemen, engaged in dairy ing, front Flynn's Creek, Loy Yang, and Traralgon, wrote a letter to the Atrgs on the subject, in which the name of the keeper of the dairy referred to by Mr. CO.twronD was demanded, lnbut the demand was not complied with. A copy of this letter was subsequently sent to Mr. F. C. M.tsos,. M .L.A., who was requested to ask the Minister of Tands to give ulp the name of the culprit, but this the Department refused to do. The total quantity available amounted to 405,000 bales, including that brought forward from the second series.
