Rifle Match. A challenge having been accepted by the officers of H.M.S. Cordelia to fire a friendly match with the Port: Darwin Rifle Club on Saturday, April 26tb, arrangements were duly made and'teams of ten a side chosen ; the distances fixed upon being 200, 300, and 500 yards, five shots at each range and one sighter ; Wimbledon, marking. Gentlemen-We beg to report that since the formation of the Company in June ' of '? last! year, we have 'held al to- gether, nine .meetings, and have now the pleasure of luyiiig before you the results of our efforts on your behalf. The first duty we had to perform was the appoint- ment of a manager, and out of several applications that of Mr. T. Gash was accepted, at a salary of £3 per week; he having the right to look after his own ' claim as well.
