SYDNEY INTELLIGENCE. Among the tríals at the last Criminal Court, mentioned in the Sydney Gazettes, is the follow ing for murder ; which for savage propensity   in the murderer we have (seldom seen equalled in the criminal records of this Colony : friday, dec. 4. this day peter aldanoes, a spaniard, commonly known by the name of peter adams, a tailor by profession, who had been several years in this colony, and spoke good english, was placed at the bar, and indicted for the wilful murder of joseph yeates, a constable of liverpool, on the 10th. of oct. within three quarters of a mile of parramatta,, by stabbing him with a knife in the left breast. PUBLIC NOTICES   SECRETARY'S OFFICE, Jan 2nd 1819 All Persons are prohibited from grazing Horned Cattle or Horses and for cutting Timber upon the Crown Land at the back of the Barracks and the Rev Mr Knopwood's extending to the River and to Sandy Bay Creek; as strict Orders will be given to impound any Cattle that may be found either loose or tethered upon that Ground.   9th January, 1819. The day previous to the Derwent having Port Jackson, the Globe, with male prisoners from England, arrived there. It is highly gratifying to have to state that generally in New South Wales as well as on our Island they are blessed with a most abundant harvest. The average prices of the necessaries of life in Sydney Market were on the 1st Instant as follow:- Wheat 7s. 4d. per bushel; maize 5s. per ditto; potatoes 6s. cwt ; eggs 2s. 3d. per dozen; butter 2s. 3d. per lb.; fowls 3s. per couple.     The price of a loaf of bread of 2lbs. was only 4½d, On Monday last being the day appointed for   celebrating the anniversary of the birth of our most gracious Queen, the same was observed with every demonstration of loyalty and joy.
