Faults of Purgatives One of the faults of most purgat ive medicines 5s that their use is usually followed by constipation. In stead of helping to. cure this com plaint, they aggravate it. You may also have noticed that with ordm. ary purgatives . you found it necess- 1 ary to increase the dose from time to time, to get the same effect. Finkettes are a new laxsttive, de signed to - overcome these faults. They do all that a laxative ought tq do, .without causing sickness or griping, ? In constipation, they nelp to correct the irregularity, so that the patient will not find the need of an opening medicine a constant necessity. v Newcastle District Town— Dudley. , ;1 It. cam\ot be said that Dudley ha«' made much progress .during the past v few years. Dudley is- distant ten miles from Newcastle, and it is reached by ^ the main road which passes through Adamstown and CharleBtown. The ' ? Dudley road branches off to the left * -'-*% about a mile beyond Charlestowp , and the town lies on the coast ^at . the extremity of the road, a further --] distance of about l£ rmiles. SPORT. . l ? Wrestling £ CUMBKKIiAND GRIPS. The wrestling match (Cumberland K and Westmoreland style), between J. y Lawson (Balgownie) and Olives Bet ?| ton (Corrimal), attracted a fair crowd to the Harp Hotel grounds on Saturday last. The conditions werei' the best of seven falls; there was p. ten pounds side-wager at- j t ached, and it was billed as being for the Lightweight Championship of the South Coast. The men were some time before they 'got holds' for the first bout, and when' they did Lawson obtained the fall. The sec ond fall went to Betton, which made it one . each. Both men had sev veral unsuccessful attempts to get holds for the third bout, and the crowd showed signs of tiring, and advised the referee to place! a man In between the contestants to make them secure holds.
