Marriages. Mouritz—Thonemann,—A fashionable wedding took place at the Holy Trinity Church, Balaclava, at 7 pm., on Wednesday evening last, February 10. Tho bride was Miss Eveline Louisa Thonemann of " Corvey," Brighton-road, Balaclava (daughter of the late Mr. Thonemann, Consul for Austria), and the bridegroom Mr. Henry Joseph Mouritz, the popular Secretary of the Victorian Yacht Club, The church decorations were exceedingly beautiful; the chancel looked like an arbour of ferns interspersed with white flowers. The rich dresses worn by the ladies, the floral decorations, and brilliant lighting of the church had a really charming effect. The bridal costume was of rich white brocade, the front of skirt veiled with beautiful lace, and fastened with sprays of orange-blossom. The Private Secretary Company were to open at Princess Theatre, Dunedin, on the 18th and play for nine nights. Their season in New Zealand' will be a very short one, as most of. the people engaged are wanted in Australia.
