This -week we publish enough of the scores of letters received from parties wbo have invested In stock to show thel trend of popular sentiment among investors in general . The leading questions with all who have written to us are : What can we do ? How can we recover anything ? Can we avoid paying the notes we have given ? There are two alternatives to the first question , ¦ which also involves the second . The majority of stockholders could re-or-ganize the company , secure competent management , place the concern on good business foundation , and in the course of time get their money back . IThis would cost a large sum of money , and as we view it . the prospect does not justify the attempt The plant is mortgaged , the machinery old and out of date , the patent...

I AGRICULTURAL I SCIENCE I [Newspaper Article] — Ohio Farmer — 2 March 1907

I AGRICULTURAL I SCIENCE I PROTECTION FROM FROST . Your report of the address of Director Smith of the Weather Bureau , issue of Feb . 9 , on the protection of crops from frost , was certainly very interesting and instructive . As he truly says , the damage done by frost in Ohio is often very great ; but the question that is up to the people of the state is the same one that Boss Tweed once impudently propounded to the plundered citizens of New York , Whal are you going to do about it ?
