Hunker democratic ratification meeting took place last night in the Park. Just as James T. Brady rose to speak, the platform containing speakers, reporters, and three or four hundred men and boys fell, with a tremendous crash: two men had each a leg broken, and others were injured, though not seriously. Wilson, of tliis city, went to the Fulls with a parly, and among the Htimb was Mrs. N. L. Piper. The lady nt the time was laboring slightly under a species of insanity. It was thought by her hubund that travelling and change of Al and scenery would do her good, but utlfor tuna'ely such was not the case. Immedi ately upon her arrival, she was desirous to see the Fall; and while standing on the Canada siilo at about twenty feet from the falling sheet of water, she slipped her arm from Mr. Wilson and made a rush toward the precipice. He rushed after her, and just as she was going over he caught hold of her dress, and by it held her dangling in the air.
