TYicKer sham and wife, in Sonoma county, California, by their Chinese cook, bos started anew the nnti-Chinese excite ment on the Pacific coast, and meetings are being called to consider the situo tion. It is well known that the Chinese do not place a high Talno upon human life and moro particularly upon tho life ot an American. Tho crime of murder is an accomplished science among them, and unless caught in tho not, it is next to impossible to apprehend tho perpe trator after he has confided his story to his countrymen. They defy every law of our land and the only good that can be said of them is that they work cheaply. The San Francisco newspapers have shown from statistics that consti tute incontrovertible evidence, that about one million dollars in ' coin and refined bullion is sent out of that ci monthly by tho Chinese to ...

The hand of tho very erratic Indian agent who has control of the Pima agency nnd the several supervision of the Papago reservation, la again eeen ns a disturbing element, and if trouble grows out of his unaccountable con duct, the department that persists in re taining such an incompetent agent will bo regarded as n particcps criminis in the strife. He hna often bteu shown to be a meddler and n vindictive, coarse, vul gar and ignorant Bombasiea 1'anoso, and it is also hinted that n long cata logue of serious charges against him are "mostly true." The trouble at issue is as follows: In 1832 a tract of land was located at the mouth of a enfion on the trest side of tho Baboquivari mouotinn?, where it was then Eupposed a flow of water oould be obtained.
