CAMPBELL, FEEW & CO. EDITORS AN!. PROPRIETORS. rKIBAY -nO'tXIXB, AI'KII. 27. A Union Mass Meeting, in this city, 3s now being canvassed. We hope to hear more oi it soon. If our people -would turn out and hear the questions ?of the day discussed by "bie and elo quent speakers, it would do incalcula ble good. The speakers can be had. How soon shall we have the meeting. IT is saidthatTn Parkersburg bribe's both of money and place are freely of fered to corrupt Union men of charac ter and influence. Whether the same agencies are at work elsewere we can not say. Look out for them and expose them. We all see that editors are im ported, newspapers started and old ones bought over, to the udvocacy of Cop perhead principles. It takes money to accomplish results of this kind. "Where does it come from and who dispenses it? We took down a copy or each addition of the Ix teluge>*ckr and showed him what he himself declared to be the best mar ket reports published by any paper in the State. He had discovered why the peo ple of his village didn't get the markets: It was they didn't take the IifTEixi OBNCEB. We may remark in this connection that we make the market reports in all our editions, a feature of our paper. The CadUBaak Bocbery. The Cadiz bank robbery created < aiderable talk on the street yesterday? especially in view of the safe exploding and shop lifting practices current^n this vicinity very recently. Forewarned is forearmed,we are told, and sorely every body hereabouts, including all who keep valuables of any kind on hand, will not be caught remiss in any need ful precaution. These days when bonds are so commontespecially coupon bonds which pass from hand to hand like a bank note, burglars, when successful, secure a paying adventure. Six men at Cadiz got between S50 and $375,000 to divide among them?a nice pile for each fellow?that is if they get oft safe, which we think highly improbable; and Cadiz is only one of the very small places where bonds and greenbacks are piled up in bank vaults in large quan ? tities. A night police is proposed in our own midst here as a means of safety. Uundoubtedly it would in crease ihe security of property, general ly, but whether it would preve...
