Robins and other game birds are plentiful in the woods. We are having frost every morn ing, .:!:1 the weatiier is clear, ccol and braling. The Covington String Band lon ored us with a serenade last Satur day night. Many thanks. We learn that the grass is quite high in the woods, and the grazing is as fine as in the spring of the yeal. ~sr. B. Abadie has built a large shedl over the sidewalk at his new, bakery, whieh is quite an improve ment. Whooping cough is still preva -out among the children, and has caused a marked f:lling-off jn the attendance at the various schools.
