McDonald of the Grand Canyon copper mines is at the Commercial and will remain In the city a few days. He succeeded Colin Tim moils an superintendent of the prop erties owned by Lombard. Goode i Co. of Chicago, and has had charge of the development of the properties during the past year. "We are opening up some new mines," said Mr. McDonald to a report er yesterday, "which are proving all that the surface ores promised.
