McDonald of the Grand Canyon copper mines is at the Commercial and will remain In the city a few days. He succeeded Colin Tim moils an superintendent of the prop erties owned by Lombard. Goode i Co. of Chicago, and has had charge of the development of the properties during the past year. "We are opening up some new mines," said Mr. McDonald to a report er yesterday, "which are proving all that the surface ores promised. They are located aliout twenty miles from the Hogan mini! and on the opposite side of the canyon. We have, named them the Dutum Park mines, Professor Mutton having given the world one of the first sclent Itiu reports relative to the mineral deposits in the canyon.
