It is presumed that gardeners have gener ally transplanted their cabbage plants, beets, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, etc., and that some of these are already half gLown. Those who have been unable to plant sea sonably may still plant pole and bunch beans, lioa or butter beans, mustard, okra, tomato, radish, parsley, squash, cucumber, melons of all kinds, beet, pepper, English peas, Irish potatoes, corn, roquette and cress. In fact, almost everything adapted to March may be planted in April. The hoe should now be active. Cabbages should be hoed weekly, and wormed where they are found cutting the plants. The ground may be covered an inch thick all around each p'ant with old well rotted manure, or new, if old cannot be obtained.
