Tourist Association Bail As a means of raising funds for the pur pose of advancing the interests of Mittagong as ft tourist resort, the local Tourist Associa tiou organised ft dance, which was hold, after a couple of postponements owing to wet weather, in tbo Mittagong Convent School on Tuesday night. There w«a a largo attendance, some 40 couples being present from all parts of the district, and a very enjoyable timo was spent. Exoellent music was provided by the Mittagong Brass Band, under Bandmaster H. Gotting, extras beiug played by Misses Lester and Murray, and Mr, &. E, Vincent. Mr. J. A. Mosses fulfilled the duties of M.C. in an efficient manner. Daring the eveniug a break was made for refreshments, provided by the ladies, which were of the first quality, and wero thoroughly enjoyed. Aftewards the dance was resumed, the happy gathering eventually dispersing at 1 80 a.m.
