Nearly all the wheat that can be spared by New South Wales this year has now been shipped, only a com paratively small quantity remaining to bn dispatched, Since the beginning of th' venr the shipments have totalled 0.020,832 bushels. To this total has to bn added exports for the past three wei-KS. uii'i eriyiumg iu vuu.aoui ni'nt, but the quantity to be added will not bn large. The yield was estimated officially at 17,195,000 bushels, which is in excess of the actual result bv 2,000,000 bushels — food and seed requirements being placed at. U nnn OOO bushels. Tho cruiser will nave a speen second oniy to tne varatg, the Ru'snin cruiser, and the fastest afloat. A sister ship to tho Pennsyl vania, the armoured cruiser Colorado, will he built later by the Cramps. By a rrcent decision of the Navy Depart ment the two vessels constructed are to be alike, although at first it was in-endid that the Pennsylvania, unlike tlie Colorado, should be sheathed with wood and coppered, Both vessels are armoured cruisers, with two nine-inch barb tte turrets and two military masts. The general dimensions are : L'ngth on the water line, 502ft.; extreme beam, 69ft. 6in. ; and meau draft, 24ft. 6in. The displacement is 13,550 tons.
