Recreation clubs in Brighton :and Sandringham are handicapped by the absence of suitable playing grounds, with the result that the health and pleusure-giving pastimes in these dis tricts are languishing. In Brighton, there is a large area knovin as: the Elsternwick Park, whidh is reserved for the devotees of golf. 'A strip of this Park on the southern boundary could be easily set aside' for cricket, ,c., without interfering to any appre eiable extent with the privileges of the golfers. Proposals for the purchase of additional reserves in Sandringhamn and Jlampnton have been mooted from tinae to time, but for various reasons have not got beyond, the embryo stage.
