SOCIAL AT ALPHINGTON. The Alphington Methodists for some considerable time have felt the need of more churceh accommodation, and finally deicilded to erect a new brick building, and steps were taken ti raise funds for that purpose. V oluntary contributions have been freely given, and a series of socials promoted to help on the gcod work. The first. of these was given by the married ladies of tlih church, and not only was a niost.enjoyable evening.spent but a fair amount of money wasobtained therefrom. Last Thursday evening the married men of the chutreh gave an en tertainment and supper. A little fur ther conversation, and I was frankly told that he was a German. Some good while back we read the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans, and at this pa...
