WILLAMULKA. August 9. [Newspaper Article] — The Kadina and Wallaroo Times — 11 August 1888

WILLAMULKA. August 9. we are having nice warm weather at present, which is of great benefit to the crops, and it is to be hoped we will be favored with a continuance of same for a few days longer, and then a nice fall of rain would again please the farmers im mensely. The roads, which about a week ago were in an almost impassible state, are now in - good condition, thus enabling stump-carting (which seems to be the principal occupation here at present} to be prosecuted with vigor. There are a fev bad patches still though, which require the immediate at tention of Cr CroBby, that is if he has any time to bestow on this part of the district. It seemB BOfc though, judging by the number of motions standing in his name on the notice paper for consideration at the nest meeting of the Council. The question of leasing the district roads is at present engrossing his whole attention. There seems to be a feeling among the ratepayers around here that in this matter theabove gentleman is going r...
