BOYS HEAD ONE SOLID SORE . Hair All Came Out — Under Doctor Three Months and No Better—Cuticura Remedies Work Wonders . Mr . A . C . Barnett , proprietor of a general store in Avard , Oklahoma , tells In the following grateful letter how Cuticura cured his son of a terrible eczema . My little boy had eczema . His head was one solid sore all over his scalp ; his hair all came out , and he suffered very much . I had a physician treat him , but at ihe end of three months he was no better . I remembered that the Cuticura Remedies had cured me , and after giving him two bottles of Cuticura Resolvent , according to directions , and using Cuticura Soap and Ointment on him daily , his eczema left him , his hair grew again , and he has never had any eczema since . We use the Cuticura Soap and Ointment , and they keep our skin soft and healthy . I cheerfully recommend the Cuticura Remedies for all cases of eczema . A . C . Barnett , March 30 , 1905 .

You Must Ordeii Promptly . [Newspaper Article] — Ohio Farmer — 5 January 1907

You Must Ordeii Promptly . For a long f me past we have been hoping that The Sherwin-Williams Co ., of Cleveland , Ohio , would give our readera the opportunity to purchase some of their linseed oil meal . On account , however , of the immense demand for their meal in foreign countries , they have been able to ship all . they could make in carload lots , as fast as they could produce it , and at much higher prices than linseed meal is sold for in this country . On account of enlarging their facilities . they are now producing much more meal , and for a short time offer this surplus to our readers . Of course every stockman and dairyman knows the value of linseed oil meal in feed rations , and as The Sher-win-Williams Co . have their own factory , their meal is claimed by them to be the purest , best and richest meal on the market . As the demand for their meal will be far more than they can supply , we would advise our readers to at once write them at 601 Canal Road N . W .. Cleve l...

He afterwards took a matinee record of 2 : 13 % and was a very consistent race horse ; his legs did not seem to bother him in the least . I sold him for $ 400 more than I paid for him ....

THE YEAR AT GLEN MEAD FARM . [Newspaper Article] — Ohio Farmer — 12 January 1907

THE YEAR AT GLEN MEAD FARM . December first found the years crops gathered and stored away and this particular time seems a fitting opportunity to review the year and its successes and failures . If it -were possible that man could arrive at that point in life where mistakes were a thing of the past then certainly would he be able to say , I am monarch of all I survey . But each year seems to bring with it new problems , new difficulties and circumstances that tax the most resourceful mind . The first of March found me at home , having concluded the institute season and ready to begin the muscular campaign . The year s fuel supply was cut and ranked . We are in the maple syrup industry in a limited way , only putting up a supply sufficient for home consumption which indeed is no small amount for even a few people . There are those ready to say it dont pay and that a farmer who is not making it a real part of his business had better not bother with it . Possibly they are right but I ...

TWO FAMOUS HORSES . [Newspaper Article] — Ohio Farmer — 12 January 1907

TWO FAMOUS HORSES . The accompanying pictures show two famous horses that were shown at the recent International Live Stock Exposition , at Chicago , both of which are excellent types . The upper picture shows Erin g 8 , Bragh , a famous gaited saddle horse , owned by Sir Thomas Lipton , the well-known British capitalist and sportsman . Erin go Bragh is modeled upon beautiful lines , being trim of body , fine of limb , with a beautifully poised head , neck and shoulders . His action is great . The lower picture shows Girton Charmer , a representative Shire stallion , owned and shown by Lord Rothschild . He shows great style for a drafter type , carrying his great weight well and displaying excellent spirit and good disposition . For so large a horse he is beautifully finished and of remarkably clean limb . He stood second in the class for aged Shire stallions , Premvictor , owned by Robert Burgess & Son , carrying off first prize .

A CORN AND HOG COUNTY . [Newspaper Article] — Ohio Farmer — 12 January 1907

A CORN AND HOG COUNTY . The Buckland , Auglaize county . farmers institute held Dee . 12 and 13 , clearly showed by the interest manifested in the discussions , that Auglaize Co . was emphatically a corn and hog county . An immense crop was grown this season , much of which was still unhusked in the field . The heavy December rains had made the corn-fields a sea of mud , and as a great percent of the ground was sown to wheat , teams and wagons had to be kept off . The corn was being husked and left on the ground waiting for cold or at least a drier time to get it off . It was being sold at the warehouse at 52 cents per cwt . of ears . If sold at all this is undoubtedly a good way to dispose of it . There is no waste and a good deal of heavy labor is saved as it is hauled direct from the field . It never again will weigh as much . The warehouse man told me that it was so green and wet that he didnt dare hold it at all ; just shelled and shipped right off . The discussions at the inst...
