Crowley. -Assessor .Mlartin Guidry has completed his assessment rolls and the police jury will review them at their next meeting on July 15. The assessment rolls show an appar ent increase of $14,980 over last year in assessed valuations, the total this year being $7,385,580, as against $7, 870,000 last year. There has been a decrease of $26,000 on account of the burning of two rice mills; a decrease of $73,000 in the Jennings oil field on account of the diminished produc tion of oil, and a decrease of $65,000 on bank assessments on account of reduction of capital stocks and sur plus.
