A friend who had read an nrticle in fime paper recom mending corn cobs, ground or unground, r.s jm excellent and valuable feed for 8tock, indertook to left tbe trutb of the gt-teuieni for himself. He had a Hi-Re quantity on hand, and after providing himself with the proper vest-el, (n half hogshead tub,) he idled it with cob, and then" ad ted a Kilution of salt in water. In tbp3 steep tho cobs were suffered to remain till they Jiad imbibed a sufficiency of the fluid to mate them soft. In this condition they were (hen f.d out to the stock, at tho rate i.-f halfa peck to a full-grown cow or ox, i;j the morning and the Fame at mV.it.
