The Farm and Garden. Our Bread. W'E have an appeal to male to the farmers of Ohio. It is to sow a broad east of wheat during the present fall. There are several reasons why we urge this matter. First, on account of the severe drought, grot difficulty will he met in breaking tip the ground and drilling in the grain. Over this. many will become discouraged and fail to put out their usual crop. Hence, the necessity of extensive sowing ob the part of those who do not turn lack from the plough because the " dry ground parcheth." Second, multitudes of our farmers all honor be it to them have enlisted in the army. The farms of most of these will be idle till their return. It was their single care, before leaving, to see that there was enough old grain in store to support their families till they ehould return. The work usually performed by these honest men must now be executed by those who remain, else we shall suffer .great reduction in the harvest of 1863. Third, the efficiency of our ar...

The farm and Garden. Fall Plowing. In the northern sectioras of our coun try, in consequence of the short spring tiro?, for preparing the land for our grain crops, it is a matter of much conseqnecce that everything should be done ia the fall that can serve to lessen spring work, uch as plowing green-sward, corn, and ether stubble-grounds, intended to be own with grain and grass eeeds the suc ceeding spring.
