Monday last was the most exciting day exprlenced in Washington since the open ing of the present session of Congress -In view of the recent Intelligence of move ment at Charleston, the principal interest centered in the Congressional proceedings it being expected that some allusion would of course be made to even's which have trannoired during the brief holiday recess. .
