Los Angeles Herald. (From the Evening Express.) "Las Femmes Qal Pleurcot." When Victor Hugo wrote his book, "L'Hornme Qui Hit," (The Man Who Laugh?,) he throw out a title which has proven suggestive to a wide range of writers, and we have had books without etui ring ing the changes on this odd conceit. "The Man who Sings," "Tho Wo man who Plays," "The Girl who Laughs," aud so on, have succes sively appeared iv titular variation of the original by the groat author. The piece selected for representa tion at Mme. Marra's bene'it next Friday night is another phase of this mania to paraphrase Hugo's suggestive title. It is called "Les Femmti gui Pleurent," (The Wo men who Cry,) and is an exquisite ly conceived and put together little comedy in oue act. Chambly 1> i Py) has wedded a sharp, though charming widow, (Delphine—Muie.
