Ball by the Secretary of the Water Supply and Irrgatiou Commission: " With reference to your letter of May 8th I am directed to inform you that with reference to Cr. Schlapp, whose pioperty.is irrigated from Cobram Irrigation Company's scheme. During the last four years Mr. Schlapp has cut and stacked lucerne waiting for a good market, and when he started pressing and chafpi g operations about three months ago he Jiad 1-IUO tons stack ed. The greater portion of the lucerne has been trucked to Syd ney, and the-p ices received ranged from £6 to ,£12/10/ per ton. The Victorian railways would not supr ply sufficient trucks owing to con gestion of traffic at Tocumwal.
