Dyspepsia, Flatulence, sour stomach, wind, and spasms are frequently due to liver com plaint, very often complicated by kidney sympathy, &c. Brain workers and thosa persona whose employment is of a sedentary nature are moit troubled by these com plaints. An eminent physician, who made such cases a special study, found that tho ingredients of Dr. Fletcher's Pills were tbe most successful for such complaints, and enibodiod them in the prescription from which these pills are prepared. They are prepared on scientific principles, are absolutely free from calomel or any dangerous drug. They act by generous stimulation of the hepatic glands, and do not gripe or purge, but produce a natural catharsis, and. thus relieve the over-loaded alvino tract of the accumulated fecal mutter without the pain and annoyance so frequently experienced after using drastic purgatives. Mr. W. Walker, Pitt-street, Sydney, says : — ' Dr. Fletcher's Pills cured me of chronic constipation of ten years stan...

A Budgong J.P. Speaks. HIS WORSHIP AND THE SOLICITOR. [Newspaper Article] — The Shoalhaven News and South Coast Districts Advertiser — 14 January 1893

A Budgong J.?- Speaks HIS WORSHIP AND THE SOLICITOR. During an address by Mr. Whittell to the Bench on Tuesday last in the case Lamond v. Green, Mr. James Waddington interjected ' You're talk ing all nousensf, Mr. Whittell, and wasting the time of the court.' His Worship complained that the limb of the law was striking out with mere repetitions of what had been said by witnesses, and he asked the solicitor : ' Do you think we are a lot of fools.' Mr. Whittell said he did not think so. He evidently did not like the remarks of the hon. member for Budgong, and he excitedly asked him if he had made up his mind as to a verdict. Mr. Waddington said he had not his mind made up, whereupon Mr. Whittell pro ceeded with bis address, nnd Mr. Waddington, evidently very much annoyed, then retired. As he was leaving the bench, one of his brother magistrates requested him not to go away, as the native dog. question was to be discussed. Agricultural Education. WHAT ARE ITS RETURNS! [Newspaper Article] — The Shoalhaven News and South Coast Districts Advertiser — 14 January 1893

YaTtral Gold&eld. WHAT ARE ITS RETURNS ? The Bulletin {Sydney) of Saturday last had the following -paragraph : — ' Yalwal has always been the N.S. W. mining terra incognita. ' Wh?re, on earth, is Yalwal ?' is often asked, . and in nine cases out of ten thp conundrum is unanswered. Yet the biggest battery in N.S.'W. is there — the Homeward Bound, of 50 heads. There is another of 40 heads, the Pioneer, and. what is more important, both are kept going uigb't and day. What they turn out the public never know. Also, as a matter of course, both mines are owned and managed by Victorians. Both are worked by open cuts, nnd the ore consists of soft Blate and other mullock, intersected with small reins and fibres of quartz rich in gold, but whether the body, crushed, goes one dwt. or an oz, we have no information. If the min»s were in Victoria the owners would be compelled to publish their returns. Why not in N.S; W. t A small N S. W. syndicate, in cluding John Newton, has a lease at t...
