The writer was at Duwson City list July and August, has been over two of tha routes, and Los knowledge, based on experience add the latest official reports, of the condition and^ost or tbe several wayja of reaching tbe Yukon Valley. Briefly, the facto are as follows : All along, close to ilie coast, from Vancouver north is an almost impassable barrier of mountains, ranging from 5000ft. to 18,000ft. in height.
