Linksters Deserve Better Rating Than Record Shows by Tim Everett Sports Reporter "The team deserves a better fate than a four and three record." That is what coach Robert Monahan had to say about his golf team's season so far this year. He went on to say that the team was in some close matches but just couldn't pull them out. The team lost two tight contests to Lakeland Community College, a very tough competitor. They also lost to Cayahoga Community College Metro from Cleveland They did win matches from Ashtabula-Kent State, Erie County Community College, and Shenango Valley Campus of PSU. They also placed a decent fifth out of eleven teams competing in the NJCAA Region XIX Tournament held in New Jersey. Coach Monahan felt that the team could have placed second or at least third because there were only six strokes between second and fifth place. The team has one more match left. They will compete on June 3 in the Pennsylvania State University Commonv/ealth Campus Golf Tourna...
