Many who farorcd a permanent county fair with grounds and buildings outside of town, now argue that the stock show and carni val, with proper improvement in tem porary booths for showing stock, the art hall, fruit, grain and vegetable displays and other features can be made more satisfactory right here in town than could be done by the ex penditure necessary to carr) ing on oi a fair such as is usual at other points in the state where racing takes the most, prominent part and gambling creeps in.
