Hon. R. J. Brailsford has in troduced a bill in the House to •have the forced collection of taxes by" levy and; sale in certain counties postponed until the 31st of Oct. 1885. There was a clause in the house notary- bill dxempting no- taries public from jury seryicc, but it was stricken out by the Senato, and the amendment afterward concurred in by the House. The Island City Savings Bank has perfected its reorganistation and opened again for business. The Tribune speaks encourag- ingly of the business prospects of Orange—though the times are exceedingly hard now. We have noticed that on every question of vital importance on which the vote has been tak* «n«by ''fis" and "nays" in the House, our representative Hon. R. J. Brailsford has been record- ed on the right side. Hard Time is still holding his {;rip on our people, but he will oosen up when the Irish 'taters are large euough to "grabble."— Pinery. And the "jew" berries and blackberries begin to ripen.
