That paper ban, it seems, for months past been sorely exorcised on seeing temper- ance articles appear, from time to timo, in tbe columns of ilio Messen- ger. It can remain silent no longer. Last week it came to the aid of the saloon keepers with a zeal worthy of a better cause. About half of its available spat e, in tbo last issue, is devoted to the interest of its much abused friends, tlio whisky party.
