On that day two district teams will visit Bathurst. The deferred games will be played on March 6. Club secretaries are asked to sub mit names tof players available for selection for the teams to visit Ba thurst no later than next Monday, February 14. Margaret Payne, of Lyndhurst, was one of 35 girls, all members of the Junior Bed Citoss, who have list concluded a ten days camp at North Maroota, in the Windsor- Wiseman's ferry district. These campers have been described as pioneers for they are the inaugu ral campers to occupy the Junior Red Cross camp site at North Mar oota which will henceforth be the permanent camp site for the Junior Red Cross of 'N.S.W. NEW BRIDGE AT CARCOAR ? ¥ ? MINISTER'S COMMENT. The Minister for Transport has advised Mr. Charles Cutler, M.L. A., Member for Orange, that a site for a new bridge over the Belub ula River at Carcoar is being sur veyed by the Department of Main Roads. Following personal representations by Mr. Cutler with regard to Condi tions at the Bridge, the Minister re quested the Commissioner for Main Roads to investigate the matter. IMPROVEMENT OF ALIGNMENT | The Commissioner now advises that his Department has in hand aj survey for a site for a new bridge over the river on the mid-western highway at Carcoar, and is also in vestigating a proposal for the im provement of the alignment of the highway through Carcoar. The Minister has told Mr. Cut ler that It may be sometime be fore it will be practicable to com plete this investigation. In the meantime, the system of warning signs on the highway in Carcoar has been modified and im-j proved to provide a greater measure of assistance to traffic. j...

Mandurama ? ? Mr. R. Co&jtes arrived home a few days ago after spending a holiday in Newcastle and Sydney with sisters and brothers-in-law. Newbridge cricketers visited here on Sunday, and although beaten out right prtoved themselves excellent snorts. A tennis match between Mandur ama and Burnt Yards was played -*n the local courts at the' week-end. Burnt Yards did not have a full team and a couple of local ladles played with them. An excellent afternoon tea was served and Burnt Yards were the ultimate winners. Latest repdrts concerning Mrs. He.rb Schmidt are that she Is improv ing after her operation and friends hope that she will sobn be restored to good health.
