EMERALD HILL POLICE COURT Saturday, August 1, 1868. (Before Messrs J. Finlay, W. Thistlwaite   (Mayor) and J. Nimmo, J.P.'s.) Minor Charges.-Sarah Watkins, an inocrrigable tippler, was ordered to pay a fine -of 20s., or suffer durance vile for fourteen days, which alternative she availed herself of.-A man named. John -Fitzpatrick summoned a little boy and girl named Albert and Elizabeth Mary Hine for assaulting him and his son by throwing stones and other missiles at them, and Elizabeth Hine summoned Fitzpatrick for assaulting her. The charges were of the most trivial nature, and the Bench dis-   missed them all. Mr. Finlay remarking that such paltry affairs should not be brought into Court at all.   Cause List - T.oss D.
