Important Title Decision. The following interesting case was decided on the 23rd of last month in Sydney, in reference to a trespass case. Herald's report of the case : — This was an action for damages for tres passing on the plaintiff's land on the Lane Cove road, and cutting timber on it. The Australian Eleven in England. (Bn Cablt to .?, it. Herald, i London. June 20. The Australiau cricketers commenced their thir teenth match in England to-day, against eleven of the county of Leicester, at Leicester. There was a large atteudaucejm the ground, and the weather was all that could tc desired ; but owing to tHJBfnin which fell last night the wicket was heavy, mid prevented the Itatsmeu scoring heavily. The' Australian Eleven went to the wickets first, but iauea to mane auy stand, all being disposed of for 1C6 runs. Massie contributed 22 before he was caught, and Blackhain 20, not out. The home team then went in, but they were unable to stand against tiie bowling of the Australians. Tho whole of the eleven were disposed of for 43 runs. Spofforth and Palmer were in splendid form, the former seeming five wickets for S-4, and the latter five wickets for 15. The Australians commenced their second in nings, and at the close of the day they liad h)pt one wicket for eight runs....
