IMPORTANT TO MINERS AND OTHERS. [Newspaper Article] — The Newsletter: an Australian Paper for Australian People — 15 September 1900

IMPORTANT TO MINE US AND OTHERS. Mr. R. A. Hervey of I7l Clarence street, is introducing to the mining com munity of Australia, Woodbury's 'Im perial' Table Concentrator, which is the very latest of American inventions, and a decided improvement on all existing Tables of Concentrating machines. Tables of this make are already work ing at the Fiery Cross Gold Mine, Bar inedman, Paw Pit Gully G. M. Co., Drake, Mount Drysdale G. M. Co., and Great Western G. M. Co., of Cobar, and other places, ar.d are largely used with the greatest success all over the mining districts of the United Sta'es. In the various grades and qualities of material treated by concentration there is always to' bo found a proportu n of the mineral particles existing in a fine Btate of division, produced principally in the preparatory disintegration of the ore in the mill. These finest particles are more roadily influenced by the streams of water that are applied to the aurface of the Table, to separate and wash off...

To Mn. W. Wbhbek, Proprietor of Vitadatio, Launceston, Tasmania. Dear Sir, — I have much pleasure in testifying to the benefits I have received from using your ' Vitadatio.' For four years I heve been a great sufferer from POVERTY OF BLOOD and INDI GESTION. Praying these few words of mine may help you in spreading the fame of this valuable remedy for the complaints I have named — Believe mo yours truly, ADJUTANT RUNDLE, S A. Th...

KENSINGTON RACES. [Newspaper Article] — The Newsletter: an Australian Paper for Australian People — 15 September 1900

KENSINGTON RACES. That mysterious individual, 4 the clerk of the weather,' still continues to smile on the Kensington Pro prietary, and with so mauy visitors from the adjacent colonies and the country, it is hardly necessary to say the attendance was exceptionally large. Friendless and Lady Morgan, two first favorites, got home during the afternoon, but as Sir Isaac, Eurydice and Uaaow were well backed, tiie books had somewhat the worst of the wagering. Vernal, a 10 to 1 chance, furnished an unpleasant surprise to backers by winning the Novice Welter. Entries for next meeting close as usual at 5 p.m. to-day (Friday). FEDERAL ITEMS. [Newspaper Article] — The Newsletter: an Australian Paper for Australian People — 15 September 1900

FEDERAL ITEMS. Mr. P. Heffernan will run for the seat embracing Young, Gren fell, etc. The Freetraders in th£ House have virtually chosen Mr. Reid as their Federal leader. They surely cannot have read his speech at Tumut during the Federal cam paign, wherein he stated he was no longer a bigot on Freetrade and wherein he vowed that Custom duties did not affect the distribu tion of goods to the masses. The Victorians may follow Mr. Reid, but it is certain the Freetrade members from New South Wales will decline to do so. He cannot betray democrats a second time. Mr. Reid's proper colleague is Mr. Barton, with whom he ran tandem in the Federal fight in N.S.W. It is on the cards that Mr. Frank Cotton, a representative land taxer, will run for the Senate. The Newsletter. A Critical, Social, Dramatic, Sporting, Political and General Newspaper for the People. NEITHER BY FEAR, NOR BY FAVOR, BUT BY TRUTH ALONE. Interlude. [Newspaper Article] — The Newsletter: an Australian Paper for Australian People — 15 September 1900

The- . newsletter. A Critical, Social, Dramatic, Sporting, Political and General Reu)$»aper for fbe People. NEITHER BY KEAR, NOR BY FAVOR, BUT BY TRUTH AI-ONE. Interlude. With this issue The Elector gives place to The Newsletter, and with it to a certain extent the old order changeth. Hitherto the paper has been looked upon as a purely politi cal venture, devoted mainly to the advocacy of the policy of Freetrade and to the planks of the Democratic platform. But man cannot live by bread alone, even though that be the staff of life ; he needs some relish to give flavour to the ordinary meal. And so in journalism, a surfeit of politics, or of any other everyday subject, is objectionable and wearisome. Therefore, for some time past The Elector, while staunch to the principles for the building up of which it was established, has launched out into other matters, and for three months past its growth in consequence has been great, and its usefulness thereby increased. But its name was again...
