INDIGNATION MEETING AT PIGEON BAY. Our Pigeon Bay correspondent writes— The nation of the Akaroa County Council in taking over the Akaroa-Little River Main rond has not given general satisfac-lion. It is only recently that meetings condemnatory or. it were hold in Little River, and Mr T. O Hay sounded nn alarm of protestation in the Pigeon Bay Road Board on the same score. The Council's proceedings since have been keenly scru tinised, and the report of their Inst meet ing touched to the quick the feelings of ratepayers in this district. Indications of the coming storm appeared on Thursday in the shape of an intimation on the notice t bonrd that an indignation meeting would 'be held on the 22nd inst., to protest egainfit the County Council's action in . taking over (he Akaroa-Little Kiver Main road.
