Pursuant to notice, an informal meeting of the A. F. and A. M. was held at Emporia on the 21st. inst., at -which Wm. Grime ley wm called to the Chair and C. V. Eskridge chosen Secretary. The usual business of such a meeting having been transacted, a motion was made and carried U meet again at this place at 7 o'clock on Tuesday, August 11th, 1857, with a view of adopting all the necessary measures for establishing a Lodge at this point.
